Examples and your own templates

Contract templates, in the menu, lists the example templates (a Walloon main-residence lease in French, Dutch and English) and your own. An example is read-only: copy it to make it yours, or paste your own contract - it is split into articles automatically.

When an example you copied is updated, StoffRent shows what changed, section by section, and lets you take the new text or keep yours.

Fields filled in for you

Words between double braces are replaced with the lease’s data when a contract is generated, for example {{RENT_AMOUNT}}, {{LEASE_START_DATE}}, {{PROPERTY_STREET_ADDRESS}} or {{DEPOSIT_AMOUNT}}. An unknown field is reported before you generate, so a typo never ends up in a contract.

Generating a contract

On a lease, choose Generate the contract. StoffRent proposes the templates that fit the property’s country and region. The PDF carries a footer with a reference and the template’s version, and your logo if you added one in the settings.

Your responsibility

StoffRent is a document tool, not a law firm. The first time a portfolio generates a contract, you are asked to confirm that you are responsible for the content of your templates and for checking them against the law that applies. The examples are examples: have your own contract checked when in doubt.
